Day 11
Pat drove all the way from Mooresville to walk with me!! The ride was about 5 hours long! Or for some of us 11 days long! She is someone I only casually knew before this walk and now I regard her as a dear friend. It is absolutely amazing how well you can get know someone over a 14 mile walk. My brother Bruce and I realized what a blessing walking and talking for hours can be! We never seemed to run out of conversation and it strengthend our relationship more then we could ever have thought possible. When was the last time you spent even a half a day just talking and looking at the beauty God placed all around us with another person.
I started the walk this morning alone. The walk through the city of Social Circle was very sweet. I headed on a beautiful road called Alcova Dr. One of my favorite roads on the walk. A beautiful tree lined road with lovely homes and my favorite find a beautiful chestnut mare. She was lying down in the grass when I came upon her. She came right over to me and began to give me kisses and followed me as I walked the length of the fence. What a blessing to be able to experience these things in a day.
Pat and I walked about through the beautiful town of Covington and then up 81 S. What a great day and great conversation.

Ann, I'm happy to hear that you had company from Mooresville. Pat sounds like a wonderful person. So what is your estimation of the finish? Sounds like Friday could be the day? Keep on keeping on! Dale
Friday is the day! Will be at City Hall at 10a.m. Then the we walk to the Ark! Hope to see there! Ann
