Day 10
Started off this morning walking down Epps Bridge Pkwy. Shortly after starting I received a call from my brother Curt .Who along with instructions on my next set of turns informed me that they were sitting at a Starbucks a few miles up the road. I miss sitting and drinking a grande Awake tea with milk and splenda and just relaxing with my sis, while she drinks a large vanilla latte with skim milk. The key word being sitting in that sentence! Bruce came to walk with me at about noon and we had a beautiful walk up tree lined country roads. We found a home we called Bruce and Kathi's it was lovely. I had a wonderful surprise after lunch a very nice person named Dale Fuller found us on the road on his way back to Griffin, GA. He brought gifts - water, apples, a pink spritzer fan and a donation to Noah's Ark. The world would be an amazing place if it was filled with people like Dale. I am finding the world is full of wonderful people with great hearts!!! Bruce and I ended our walk shortly after strolling down a beautiful country road called Frost Rd. Mari picked us up about a mile down GA-11. About 25 miles walked today and 41 to go!!!!!
Hi Ann and crew. I am amazed at your journey. I can not wait until we meet at the finish line, Noah's Ark, only moments away. I am sure you have seen wondrous things along your path that is hard to even put into words. Please let us know about what time you think you will be here. We are all so excited!!! I pray your spirits will stay high and you will be truly blessed.

Curt, just some historic info about where the RV was parked on Tuesday. Did you know that you were only blocks away from the 'on location' filming of the popular TV show "In The Heat of the Night'? and the first 5 shootings of 'The Dukes of Hazzard'? Hope Ann got a good start this morning on her last 41 miles! FEEL THE FINISH LINE!

I'm writing to you from New Hampshire to say that you are amazing. We get so caught up in the daily gring and call it life. You are discovering what life really is and your mission is an example for all of us. I tell myself, "Time is short so get out there and do something for someone!" I walk in the 2-day Avon walk for breast cancer in two weeks in honor of my sister (Boston). Thank you for the wonderful inspiration you have provided!

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Thank you -and that is exactly what I found to be true life is fleetiing and we need to try and leave this earth a better place for having been there. I just hope to be able to look back and say that I did. You sound like you are quite an inspiration yourself!!!
My family has a home in Rockport, MA so I have a big spot in my heart for New England! Thanks for reaching out.-Ann

A wonderful thing that you are doing, I was at the Ark a few weeks back to see Evidence and had such a great time. May God continue to bless you as you do your remaining miles.

Ann - you're almost here! We are so excited about Friday and the chance to finally meet you. I know you have to be so weary right now and have pains you never knew were possible. But just think of what you have accomplished - and no one will ever be able to take that away from you. Years from now you can look back and tell yourself "Wow, I really did that!" And years from now Noah's Ark folks will still be saying "Wow - she really did that - for us!" God bless you as you trek your last miles to the gates of Noah's Ark. We'll be waiting for you with open arms!

Ann- Thank you for all you are doing to raise funds and awareness for Noah's Ark! As Chairman of the Board of Commissioners I am so very proud that Noah's Ark calls Henry County home. Your act of kindness and generosity is an inspiration to all of us "home folks" to get out there and do more for this organization that blesses so many people and animals in our community. I hope to meet you Friday and personally thank you.
