Day 8

The day started with a wonderful service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hartwell, GA. It ended late at 10:30, because  ten sweet children received their first communion.  Back to the RV at 11:00 to pick up Curt who walked the first 5 with me.  We started out down  a 2 mile gravel road that was very peaceful and continued to GA 172 toward Bowman.  The walk and conversation with Curt were wonderful.  That actually was the best part of my day.  The heat really got to me today and so did my blisters.  Try as I did I could not get the energy to go more then 15 today. After being barked at by an amazing amount of dogs and dodging cars for 6 hours I decided I needed a night to rest up. Heading off to bed early tonight after a wonderful dinner courtesy of Mari , and a hot shower at  Watson Mill Bridge State Park.

Ann glad to you took more time to rest besides it was Sunday. I attend Sacred Heart of Griffin Georgia Catholic Church. That was neat that you attended a church of the same name . It supposed to be another hot day on Monday so hydrate yourself and take it easy. You can almost see the finish line. I've enjoyed your journals of your travels. Hope to see you soon. God Be with You! Dale
